Tim Lyden welcomes you to the West-Central Cover Crop Field Day at Benjamin Logan H.S., Bellefontaine.  Greg McGlinch and other speakers will discuss cover crop practices, soil health, and financial programs and hands-on activities perfect for both beginners and experienced farmers. Presented by OSU Extension and Ohio No-till Council.

Get a hands-on look into cover crop practice, expenses, timelines, and benefits!

Structured for those new to cover crops and no-till farmers who have used cover crops for many years.

Presenters include: OSU Extension specialists, Michael Watercutter, Tim Lyden and other experienced farmers.

Topics include:

  • Cover crops commonly in use and how to manage them

  • Getting started with no-till and cover crops

  • Cover crop advantages for extreme weather events.

  • Soil health

  • Financial programs to help fund cover crop adoption

  • Create your own cover crop mix. Take it home and plant a small plot.
