Join The Nature Conservancy for their Ohio Soil Health week Lunch and Learn: "Measuring What Matters: Relating Soil Health Metrics and Tissue Tests to Grain Quality" on Nov. 13 at noon with Dr. Patrick Freeze, Western Region Outreach Scientist and Applied Research Lead from Ward Laboratories, Inc. This presentation examines how soil health metrics relate to grain quality, and how these are, in turn, connected to tissue tests as the diagnostic link. Dr. Freeze will briefly cover soil health-grain quality relationships, then focus on tissue testing and interpretation: sampling protocols, nutrient analysis, and data integration to predict protein content and other quality parameters. Case studies demonstrate combining soil health assessments with tissue testing for data-driven grain quality management
