Join us for an afternoon celebrating Soil Health Week at The Foodbank, Inc.! We will have many hands-on activities for attendees to interact with, community partners, a seed swap, and educational presentations by local organizations surrounding the importance of composting in our communities, as well as a tour of The Foodbank's Urban Farm, and a documentary screening of Groundswell to follow!
Multiple community partners will be present that work in the space and will be tabling at the event. The documentary "Groundswell" has heavy emphasis on the importance of soil health for the future of our food system. In addition, The Foodbank will be offering tours of its Class II Food Waste Composting Facility, demonstrating how food waste is a resource in our community and how compost can generate local fresh food for our communities, neighborhoods, and our own homes.

The parking lot surrounding the urban farm is not fully paved, so please be cautious around the gravel lots. The area of the facility where the movie will be held at 5:30 is fully ADA accessible, however, and the parking area is paved.
