9413 Sophia Avenue provided the foundation to envision and deploy a circular and localized group, to repurpose and remediate construction and demolition waste on a brownfield in Cleveland, Ohio. The truth is that a localized commitment to circularity has its challenges and barriers— and we can share what this looks like as we celebrate soil health and take a walking visit and circular support systems invitation to attendees.
Our time together will invite you into our soil journey to share a toxic-free and remediative landscape turned in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland-based composters Rustbelt Riders and Artist Malena Grigoli were vital to bringing this all together in partnership with My Grow Connect, Redhouse and Collective Citizens Organized Against Lead. We hope you will join us at 9413 Sophia Ave to celebrate soil health in Ohio and beyond.

Site invitations, guided walk of phase 2 of the site from last year with visitors and an initial glimpse into the production lab. The second part of the visit will be a brief walk to near by garden neighbors to lend tending for winterization and learn and share seasonal soil health practices.

We do not have a restroom currently available and on site so we are keeping this program short.
