City Folk’s Farm Shop will host a special Ohio Soil Health Week celebration to highlight the importance of healthy soil in growing nutrient-dense food, supporting thriving gardens, and building resilient ecosystems.
The main event will take place on Friday, November 14, from 3–5 p.m. at City Folk’s Farm Shop. This gathering is designed for home gardeners, urban growers, small farmers, and community members interested in practical ways to improve their soil health.
The program features: A storewide sale on all soil and amendments (continuing through the weekend); Ted, from Ohio Earth Foods, available to answer individual questions and provide guidance on soil fertility and amendment strategies; Paisley from City Folk’s Farm Shop, sharing the benefits of Bokashi composting as a method to recycle food waste into a powerful soil-building tool.
